Hi! My name is Simone Normand. I am a lifestyle and portrait photographer based in Fairhope, AL. I specialize in imaginative, eclectic photography sessions for individuals, families, children, and couples. My mission for each session is to celebrate our uniqueness, and bring out the beauty in everyone, the fun of us all, the life and light that we all carry. I want to capture what makes you shine, whether it’s your smile, your style, or your attitude. If you consider yourself shy and not so comfortable in front of the camera, do not worry! I’m here to guide you through the entire session and make you feel relaxed and at ease.

I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember, throughout my childhood and formal school years, and even in my graduate studies as a geologist where I became enthralled with the shapes and colors of not only my surroundings but also the expressions of my classmates - all the things that make up the “moment”. The light through the trees. The bends in the rocks. My photography became like those geologic folds I was studying. It told my stories, and the stories of the people in my circle. When it came time to start a tribe of my own, the new life path of creating a family further fueled my inner knowing that this was the career path for me.

It’s been ten years since the birth of my first child and as I continue to hone my professional photography skills, I am continually amazed at how full and wonderful life is while pursuing my passions and dreams. I love capturing the connections between people, the precious, happy moments and the inspirational, often fleeting emotions. My goal is to tell your stories through the art of photography and create beautiful images that convey these special relationships and moments in time…relics and keepsakes to treasure for a lifetime.
